Nothing says fresh like a new coat of paint! If you’re renting your current home, most landlords will be okay with your painting project, especially if you’re willing to paint it back before you move out! If you plan on living there for a while and your landlord approves, you can take it one step further and revamp those dull kitchen cabinets with a new paint color as well. For those of you that are home owners, you’re obviously able to paint whatever color you desire- but just make sure it flows with the rest of the home!
2. Reorganize Your Pantry
Whether the size of your pantry is just a small cabinet or a huge walk in pantry, giving it a quick make over by reorganizing can make all the difference! Whenever I organize a space, I imagine myself walking in or a guest walking into my house for the first time. I think of a few questions to ask myself like what can I access most often? What makes the most sense for this space? In order to make it as functional as possible, I want to make sure that everything can be easily accessed and other items that I don’t use can be placed higher up. And, make it look pretty! Grab some inexpensive baskets and bins to make it look cute and well organized. Personally, I love clear containers so I can see how much I have of that item and if I need to grab more!

3. Add New Counters
This is a big one, however think about how much it would brighten the room! For instance, counters that are dark can make the room look smaller. But adding lighter tones, like a light grey marble or limestone would brighten the entire room and make your kitchen feel and seem much bigger! My favorite countertops are from Hanwha Surfaces. They are based here in Atlanta and specialize in high-quality surfacing products under HanStone Quartz and Hanex Solid Surfaces! HanStone Quartz is a stone surface made from pure, natural quartz. HanStone Quartz offers the natural beauty of quartz with up to six times the strength and durability of granite. Because HanStone Quartz contains approximately 93% quartz, the hardest components of natural granite, the surface is highly scratch and impact resistant. However, as with any surface, sudden impact, excessive force/pressure, or misuse can damage the stone surface. HanStone Quartz is installed by trained and certified fabricators/installers to ensure that your countertops are installed properly and will be under the full warranty.
4. Add New Accessories
Another great idea if you don’t want to take on a DIY project, you can still dramatically change the feel of your kitchen by adding accessories. Using indoor-outdoor rugs is my favorite way to add a bit of color and pattern. You can coordinate new accessories with dishtowels, teapots, or even storage containers. Additionally, try to bring a touch of nature indoors. Displaying both decorative and edible plants in your kitchen will add a happy vibe!

5. Change The Hardware
Finally, one of the easiest ways to customize a kitchen is by changing the knobs and pulls of your cabinets and drawers! My husband and I just did this in our own kitchen! We changed our dark knobs on our white cabinets to a gold more modern look. As a result, the kitchen seems to pop even more now!
What are some ways you like to refresh your kitchen?
